FlexSense: Technical Information

Rugged Design

Highly rugged and resilient, IP67-rated, UV-resistant enclosure. Trusted performance for long term (10 year+) remote deployments under any conditions

Discreet Appearance

Unobtrusive color and form factor for “security through obscurity.”

Mounting Options

Integrated mounting points for versatile orientation guidance.

Configurable LED

Software-configurable LED with a secure, isolated battery caddy and overmolded 3m cable.

Multi-Sensor Support

The Myriota FlexSense supports multiple sensors with a preinstalled 3m cable containing 14 wires.

Power Options

Offers power input (5-24V) and power output (12 or 24V @ 25mA).

Configuration

Optimal for dual-sensor or potentially tri-sensor mode.

Connectivity

Includes flying leads and an optional IP68 Black Cable Joint for versatile connections.

Battery Caddy Operation

Grooved design prevents incorrect insertion of 1 or 2 batteries. The device functions with either 2 or 4 batteries in various configurations. Using only 2 batteries results in shorter infield lifetime.

USB-C Access

USB-C access point is available when the battery caddy is removed, designed for device programming only.

Battery Locking Mechanism

Provides a secure enclosure for the battery caddy with a screw to prevent tampering. Options for a rubber seal or direct entry point protection to safeguard against dirt and grime. No seal required for ingress protection if not present.

Interactive Elements

The status LED and soft switch button behaviors are software-defined. Behavior can be programmed via FlexSense SDK APIs. Examples of interactive features usage are available in the FlexSense SDK example applications.
